General Questions About CJSmusic
What are your prices?
All pricing information can be found by contacting CJSmusic. However, we have an introductory offer for you here.
What are your hours?
These are our general hours. Lessons are booked on a first come first served basis. All times are listed in Eastern Standard Time (EST)
- Mon-Fri: 10am-8pm
- Sat: 10am-6pm
- Sun: Closed
Where are you located?
We are located in London, ON, but we accept online students from North America and around the world. Our full contact information can be found on our contact page.
Where in London do you teach?
All of our lessons are taught in your home. If you live outside of London, ON please check out our online music lessons.
What method do you use to teach?
We teach all styles of music including classical, jazz, rock and pop. Our methods are developed uniquely with each student. We encourage all of our students to participate in music festivals and Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) examinations, but this in not a requirement.
What are the qualifications of your teachers?
Jordan Stevens is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario and Mohawk College. His degree is in Theory and Composition and his diploma is in Piano Performance. He has completed his grade 10 from the RCM and is a recipient of the Cicile Berrard-Dunn Memorial Scholarship for excellence in piano performance. For the past 5 years he has been teaching at various music stores along with running his own studio. Currently Jordan is our only full-time teacher, however, we bring in other experts who have similar skills and qualifications as we need them.
What levels do you teach?
The teachers at CJSmusic are capable of teaching all levels from beginner to advanced.

Questions About Music Lessons in General
What age should our children start taking music lessons?
This is dependant on the child. Once a child has the ability to concentrate for 30 minutes they will be fine for music lessons. Our online music lessons are designed for people 13 and up, however, if you are in the London, Ontario area then taking music lessons in your home is best for you. All students are welcome to try our lessons by registering here.
How often do I need to take lessons?
There is no requirement for how often you must take lessons, however, our most successful students take lessons on a weekly basis.
How much should I practice?
This depends on the student, but we recommend at least 30 minutes a day.
How long will it take for me to be good at music?
To answer this question you first must know what being good is. During your first lesson we will find out your goals and reasons for taking music lessons. Once we have this information then we can set a roadmap for your success.
Questions About Online Music Lessons
What equipment do I need in order to use online music lessons?
At a minimum, you will need a computer with an internet connection, web camera, a microphone and a musical instrument.
How do I set up my equipment?
This is a simple 3 step process. Just follow the instructions here
What if I have technical problems?
We are qualified to assist you in solving technical issues that may arise during an online music lesson. That being said if your problem cannot be fixed during the lesson we will not charge you for that lesson. After the lesson we will fix the problem before booking another lesson with you. All technical issues can be reported to us by contacting CJsmusic.
