Noisemaking 101 - Deleting an Instrument in Sibelius
Step 1
At the beginning of the score double click the instrument name and rename it "Percussion I" This is so that in the following steps we don't confuse our instruments and delete the second percussion part.
Step 2
Open the instrument pane/window. On the Mac press letter "i" or go to the create menu and select instrument.
Step 3
On the right side of the instrument pane you will see staves in score. Under that heading select "Percussion I".
Step 4
Beside that heading you will see the button "Delete from score". Click that button. A dialog box will ask you if you are sure. Click OK.
Step 5
Close the Instrument pane by clicking the OK button at the bottom of the window.
